The EK-Quantum Vector³ FE RTX 5090 – Plexi is a high-performance water block designed exclusively for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX™ 5090 Founders Edition. With a new, expanded cooling engine, improved thermal pads, and a precision-engineered gasket system, this block ensures optimal heat dissipation for the GPU core, VRAM, and power stages. The included backplate provides additional passive cooling, while EK-Matrix7 compatibility simplifies loop integration.

The EK-Quantum Vector³ FE RTX 5090 water block features a black anodized aluminum backplate assembly that enhances both cooling performance and structural integrity. Unlike standard backplates, this assembly provides passive cooling for the MOSFETs located on the backside of the block, ensuring stable power delivery under load. Additionally, the backplate serves as the main structural element of the GPU’s PCB, connecting all components and providing essential rigidity to prevent PCB flex and stress over time. The assembly also integrates the stock lighting module from the original cooler, illuminating the EK badge for a sleek and refined aesthetic.
The EK-Quantum Vector³ FE RTX 5090 follows EK-Matrix7, a standard that simplifies liquid cooling loop assembly by aligning ports and spacing components for intuitive tube routing.
Whether mounting the GPU vertically or horizontally, Matrix7 ensures a hassle-free, precise build.
Sleek magnetic covers are used to conceal the terminal screws, which allows rotation of the branding when the GPU water block enclosures are inverted in the case or being used on a vertical GPU mount.
Addressable D-RGB LED lighting is deployed on the longest edge of both top and backside water blocks for improved uniformity and brightness. The PCB and diodes are concealed inside a clean aluminum extrusion. The individually addressable RGB LED is compatible with popular RGB sync technologies from all major motherboard manufacturers. The arrow marking on the 3-pin D-RGB LED connector is to be aligned with the +5V marking on the D-RGB (addressable) header (Pinout: +5V | Data | Blocked | Ground).

EK-Quantum Vector Strix RX 6800/6900 is a 2nd generation Vector GPU water block from the EK® Quantum Line. It is made for ROG Strix RX 6800, 6800XT, 6900XT graphics cards based on the latest AMD® RDNA2™ architecture. EK-Quantum Vector RX 6800/6900 water block is compatible with ASUS® ROG Strix GAMING Radeon RX 6800, RX 6800XT, and 6900XT graphics cards. The Vector water block directly cools the GPU, VRAM, and the VRM (voltage regulation module) as a cooling liquid is channeled right over these critical areas. The water block is in contact with power stages as well as Inductor chokes to maximize cooling and minimize the chances of coil whine.
These newly developed water blocks feature optimized flow paths that reduce hydrodynamic instabilities and vortexing (dead spots) inside of them. The EK-Quantum Vector Series water blocks use an Open Split-Flow cooling engine design, which proved to be a superior solution for GPU water blocks. It is characterized by low hydraulic flow restriction, meaning it can be used with weaker water pumps or pumps running on low-speed settings, and still achieve top performance. The jet plate and fin structure geometry have been optimized to provide even flow distribution with minimal losses and optimal performance when used in any given coolant flow orientation.
The base of the block is CNC-machined out of high-grade nickel-plated electrolytic copper, while its top is CNC-machined out of durable black POM acetal. These 2nd generation Vector GPU water blocks also feature acetal terminals. The watertight sealing is ensured by high-quality EPDM O-rings, while brass standoffs are already pre-installed and allow for a safe and easy installation procedure.
The aesthetic end-piece is housing the addressable D-RGB LED strip. These water blocks boast a total of 9 individually addressable RGB LEDs, and a LED-lit terminal. They are compatible with popular RGB sync technologies from all major motherboard manufacturers. EK recommends the purchase of a retention backplate, which improves the overall aesthetics of your graphics cards, and also provides additional passive cooling for the GPU core and backside of the printed circuit board VRM and VRAM sections.
