EK-Quantum Velocity² D-RGB - 1700 Nickel + Satin Titanium is the new high-performance premium quality CPU water block for the new Intel® socket LGA 1700-based platform. It features a next-generation cooling engine that is socket-specific. This CPU water block is EK-Matrix7 compliant and is mounted via a patent-pending EK Exact Mount system.
EK-Quantum Velocity² series CPU water blocks embed the next generation cooling engine named OptiFlow. They use a specific combination of mounting pressure and coldplate geometry tailored for the IHS and die layout of Intel LGA 1700 socket processors. Low hydraulic flow restriction enables these products to be used in setups using weaker water pumps or lower pump speeds for added silent operation, while still achieving top performance! Th? lathe-turned coldplate is made with precision to effectively cover the IHS and put pressure on the die area.
The Velocity² series water blocks cover the entirety of the socket while conforming to Intel guidelines about safe zones.
The coldplate is manufactured out of the highest-grade 99.99% pure electrolytic copper, machined with precision for the best possible contact and heat transfer which is further nickel-plated. This version of the water block features a nickel-plated cold plate and a top made of CNC machined brass with a high-quality satin silver finish.
The EK-Quantum Velocity² is an EK-Matrix7 compatible product. The EK-Matrix7, a product raster that is bound to set a new standard. EK is adding a new dimension to PC liquid cooling, where the height of products and the distance between ports are managed by increments of 7mm. This improves product alignment and reduces the time spent planning the loop and bending tubes. Through the meticulous planning of our products, building a liquid-cooled PC becomes easy and fun, just like toy bricks.
EK-Exact Mount is a patent-pending mounting system designed and engineered by EK in the search for an easy-to-use, but aesthetically pleasing mounting mechanism. It's made up of only three pieces - backplate, mounting screws, and the water block itself. It's screwed in from the back allowing for a seamless and clean front aesthetic without any screws disrupting the harmony of shape. The system uses pre-tensioned springs concealed in the water block top, so with just a few turns of the thumb-nuts, the installation is finished, and you get the exact mounting pressure needed.
This product is compatible with all popular addressable RGB sync technologies from all major motherboard manufacturers. This CPU water block has a sophisticated light beam cutting across it. The arrow marking on the 3-pin D-RGB LED connector is to be aligned with the +5V marking on the D-RGB header. 14 addressable RGB LEDs are hidden under the stick-out piece.

The next generation - the Alphacool Eisblock Aurora water cooler for Radeon RX 7XXX graphics cards. In order to dissipate the enormous heat of this graphics card generation in the best possible way, numerous optimizations have been made to the water cooler compared to the previous model. The fin structure was adapted and enables a very good water flow while increasing the cooling surface. The modified jet plate with improved inflow engine ensures an optimal distribution of the water on the cooling fins.
Technical Highlights
The fin structure of this Eisblock cooler generation was developed together with AMD board partners. The fin thickness is 0.4 mm, the distance between the cooling fins is 0.4 mm. This ensures a very good water flow while increasing the cooling surface. The jet plate has a revised inlay that spreads the water pressure better over the fins thus optimizing the heat absorption. The adjusted water inflow gives the water a better angle of inflow.
Chrome-plated copper
The cooler is made entirely of chrome-plated copper. A chrome plating is much harder than a nickel plating and therefore less sensitive to acids, scratches and damage. It completely eliminates the risk of chipping nickel plating. Additionally, chrome plating looks much more homogeneous and provides a shine that cannot be achieved by nickel plating. Chrome-plated coolers have previously only been used in the industrial sector in areas where extreme influences act on the coolers.
Design
The Aurora design of the Radeon RX 7XXX Eisblock generation is visually calmer and simpler. Only one O-ring runs around the entire cooler. The design around the cooling fins and jetplate makes for a cleaner look. The illumination of the digitally addressable RGB LEDs is even better distributed throughout the cooler as a result of the chrome plating. The terminal's design is in line with the classic Aurora design.
Thermal paste & thermal pads
The included thermal compound is Alphacool's Subzero. With a thermal conductivity of 16 W/mK, it is one of the highest performing thermal pastes on the market. The electrically non-conductive thermal compund is particularly well suited for high contact pressures, but can still be processed perfectly due to its viscosity of 850.000 TF. Alphacool Soft Pads with 1mm thickness are used on the voltage converter and the graphics memory. The thermal conductivity of the pads is 7 W/mK. The pads for the back of the PCB are 3mm thick and have a thermal conductivity of 3 W/mK.

Note on application
Please use only in conjunction with clear transparent water cooling fluids. The particles and additives in Pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage water cooling products such as radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses. This can result in voiding the manufacturer's warranty as well.
