Following Alphacool’s motto “The next step in modding and style”, the Aurora is a simple way to illuminate your reservoir with brilliant colours. Colour variants are available in red, blue, green, white, and UV. This last one is especially good for UV-active cooling fluid, where the fluid itself will start to glow. Now Alphacool is going one step further and offering it in RGB, too. Between the ring and the 4-pin molex plug is an RGB controller, where you can set the colour and brightness.
Two sizes are available, one for tube reservoirs with a 50mm diameter and one for a 60mm diameter. The 50mm version is equipped with 18 LEDs, the 60mm version with 24 LEDs. The high number of LEDs makes the illumination much stronger than with the classic single LEDs. You can also install two or more Auroras on one reservoir.
Installation is extremely simple. No tools are needed. The Aurora simply slides over your reservoir and is held in place with two rubber rings. The LEDs are powered through a 4-pin molex connection. This can be attached directly to the motherboard, to a separate fan controller, or directly to a power pack with an adaptor cable.
